Recent Work

We are please to announce that we have just completed the work for: Community Organisation, “Friends of Taff Bargoed Park” who were awarded funding to develop legal and technical plans for a hydropower scheme on the Taff Bargoed River, Treharris. The income generated by the scheme through the Feed-in Tariff will be used for the upkeep and improvement of facilities at Taff Bargoed Park.

The purpose of the project was to strengthen the existing Highway River Bridge. The bridge spans the Nant Gledyr River which feeds Caerphilly Castle moat.

The scheme was to reconstruct an existing highway retaining wall following damage from a fallen tree. The retaining wall was supporting the highway on the banks of the river Sirhowy at Blackwood. The scheme required Natural Resources Wales flood consent…
