- This project was to improve Pontcanna Street and Cathederal Road with an upgrade to the existing footway using reclaimed pennant paving. The project was carried out over a fourteen week period.
- This project was to reconstruct the paved area on Pontcanna Street and Cathederal Road adjacent to a number of extremely popular businesses which included restaurants & café bars that had to remain open for custom as usual.
Therefore prior to works commencing our management team engaged with the proprietors of the various businesses to develop construction methods to ensure that operational progress was efficient and as least disruptive as possible.
Attention was given to business opening hours, delivery needs and environmental issues such as dust & noise.
During construction all businesses remained open and relationships were positively maintained.
The construction methods & sequences ensured that access to shops and business where maintained at all times by adjusting daily working hours and completing all sections of work before moving onto subsequent shop frontages.
The project was successfully completed on program and to budget.
Local business has been canvased and it is widely agreed that the image and profile of the locality has been greatly lifted by the implementation of the works.
