PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The works formed part of Cardiff Council’s Safe Routes in the Community initiative, with the aim to provide a safer environment for pedestrians in the Llanishen area of Cardiff. This was achieved by implementing measures to slow vehicle speeds, whilst improving the quality of routes, crossing facilities to provide better access. The scheme delivered a new raised zebra crossing with localised footway and carriageway reconstruction.
SCOPE OF WORKS:
- Installation of Full depth Road Construction
- Installation of Concrete kerbs and central island
- Installation of tarmac raised table and belisha beacons
- Resurfacing to adjacent footpaths
- Installation of new signage
