Caerau lane is a secondary distributor unclassified road, which is a medium trafficked route for vehicles and pedestrian footfall. It is in close proximity to Mary Immaculate High School and residential properties are within close proximity. Caerau Lane bridge also crosses the busy A4232 link into Cardiff. Due to the complexity of the project, the works was completed in phases to ensure minimal disruption to the vehicles and pedestrian in the surrounding area. In order to complete the works we had to implement temporary traffic and pedestrian diversions to enable the phased completion of the works, this also included the temporary lane closure to the A4232.
-
Our scope of services comprised of the phased removal of the existing parapet system and installation of a new N1 Standard galvanized parapet system. The existing structure also required modifications to enable the installation of the new systems. In conjunction with this, we completed the installatio of a new Armco barrier system and footway reinstatements.
The project was successfully completed on program and to budget. -
